About Glinis

As a proud Nehiyaw woman, Glinis Buffalo is a member of Samson Cree Nation, Maskwacis, Treaty 6 Territory. Her connection to her Nation has provided her a lifetime of experience in the Indigenous and western worlds. Much of the work of Glinis is built on the foundation of bridging Inherent and Treaty Rights and western knowledge. 

Glinis has over 21 years of professional planning experience in Treaty 6, 7 and 8 First Nations within Alberta and all levels of government in a variety of roles in Planning. She attained her designation as a Registered Professional Planner from the Alberta Professional Planners Institute and holds her designation as a Registered Member with the Canadian Institute of Planners.

The project objective is to build capacity and increase awareness for stewardship and protect and honour the legacy of the Pigeon Lake aquatic habitat.
